Actor, philosopher, zen master and all-around cool cat Jeff Goldblum is also a musician and tinkles the ivories with his jazz band The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra. They released their debut album, The Capitol Studio Sessions, back in November which is a live-in-the-studio ode to the days of cocktail jazz, lounge lizards and bachelor pads, and you can stream that, and watch a promotional video about it (and his 2018 appearance on Hot Ones), below.

Jeff and The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra have been mainstays in L.A. for a while but he’s bringing the jazz to the East Coast for a couple shows. He’s playing his hometown of Pittsburgh on Valentine’s Day at the Carnegie Library Museum, which is a benefit for the Tree of Life Synagogue shooting victims. Before that, he’ll play NYC’s Le Poisson Rouge on February 12 (tickets). UPDATE: That show sold out, and a late show has been added on the same night – tickets are on sale now. His only other live date is part of Napa Valley’s BottleRock fest in May.
