Jeff Tweedy covered Meat Puppets & performed on 'Kimmel' with his sons
You had not one but two opportunities to watch Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy from home on Monday night (3/30) – he did one of his regular “Tweedy Show” livestreams on his family’s @stuffinourhouse Instagram account, and he appeared on a new episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, which Wilco had been scheduled to perform on before the coronavirus put a stop to things like in-studio appearances from bands on late-night TV shows. On Kimmel, Tweedy was joined by his sons Sam and Spencer, “Live from the Lavatory,” and they performed “Evergreen,” from his 2019 album Warmer, together. Watch a video of that below.
Earlier in the evening on “The Tweedy Show,” songs Jeff performed included “A Magazine Called Sunset,” from Wilco’s 2003 More like the Moon EP, and a cover of Meat Puppets’ “Plateau,” from 1984’s Meat Puppets II. Watch videos of both below.
