Jenny Lewis began tour with The Watson Twins @ Kings Theatre (pics, setlist, video)

Jenny Lewisfall tour with The Watson Twins kicked off on Thursday night (10/24) at Kings Theatre. She’s out supporting On the Line, her first solo album in five years which came out back in March, and she played all but two songs from it, opening the show with singles “Heads Gonna Roll” and “Wasted Youth.” The Watson Twins came out to sing on “Rise Up with Fists!!” and “Melt Your Heart” from their 2006 collaborative album Rabbit Fur Coat, and Jenny (who alternated between guitar, keys and just singing) also dropped a couple Rilo Kiley songs (“Silver Lining,” “I Never”) and covered Bob Dylan’s “Standing in the Doorway.” The night ended with “Rabbit Hole,” and like when she performed the song on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon the night before,” she got carried off at the end by a dude in a bunny suit.

The Watson Twins’ opening set included their slowed down, countrified cover of The Cure’s “Just Like Heaven.” Pictures from the whole night are in the gallery above, and Jenny’s setlist, and a few videos from the Kings Theatre show (and her Fallon performance), are below.

Right before this leg of her tour began, Jenny joined Steely Dan at Beacon Theatre.
