Meshuggah

The math-y chug of Meshuggah rang through the halls of Roseland on Friday (2/15), joined by the jazzy Animals as Leaders and Los Angeles favorites Intronaut as part of a string of dates together. Pictures from the show are in this post.

Tension filled the air for the bulk of the night due to Meshuggah's vocalist Jens having to miss the last few shows due to the flu. In Atlanta, Jens was replaced by Sacha of Intronaut, while other tracks featured a vocal backing and a cardboard cutout. Not the case at Roseland, where the vocalist ran full-steam ahead while strobes and the technical thunder of the Swedish band provided his accompaniment.
