Pre-order JER's new album on limited yellow vinyl.

JER, the solo project of Jeremy Hunter of Skatune Network and We Are The Union, has shared the second single off their upcoming debut album Bothered / Unbothered. It's called "Decolonize Yr Mind," which goes in a more traditional ska/rocksteady direction than the ska-punk lead single "Clout Chasers," and also features JER rapping and toasting, plus guest vocals from Oceanator's Elise Okusami. Here's what they told Punk Black about the song:

“Decolonize Yr Mind” is a song that explores the idea of what the world would’ve been like if imperialism and colonization never destroyed the lives of millions of black people. Despite living in a country that has severely oppressed us, we still manage to create so much beauty in this world. So the question now is, imagine if we didn’t have systems constantly suppressing us, and imagine how we would be influencing this world? We can create that world, but to start to build that world, we must first learn to unlearn these toxic systems and begin to imagine the world we want to see.

Listen and watch the video below. Bothered / Unbothered comes out on May 27 via Bad Time Records, and you can pre-order our exclusive canary yellow vinyl variant, limited to 200 copies.
