Wyatt Cenac’s weekly comedy show, Night Train, has been rolling since 2012 but will be reaching its final destination in November on its fifth anniversary. Sad to see it go but what looks to be a pretty exciting new comedy show will take its place on Monday Nights at Littlefied: Butterboy which is hosted by Jo Firestone, Aparna Nancherla, and Maeve Higgins. That is a lot of comedy talent right there alone, not counting what guests they’ll have. Donwill, who DJ’d for Night Train, will continue to spin for Butterboy. Tickets for the first-ever Butterboy, which happens November 13 at Littlefield, are on sale now.
The final Night Train show happens the week before (November 6) will be with Michelle Wolf, Hari Kondabolu, Seaton Smith, and more (tickets). You may remember that before Night Train, Monday nights at Littlefield was home to Hot Tub with Kurt Braunohler and Kristen Schaal.
Jo Firestone is pretty busy these days with a podcast, several game shows and a writing job on The Tonight Show. Aparna is busy too: she was a writer for Late Night with Seth Meyers, has been seen on Master of None, Crashing, and has a major role in the new season of Bojack Horseman. Maeve, meanwhile, is a cohost on the StarTalk television series, has written two books, and also has a podcast, Maeve In America: Immigration IRL.
