Jo Firestone has to be one of Brooklyn’s busiest comedians. When she’s not writing for Jimmy Fallon or hosting her excellent podcast Dr. Gameshow, she’ll be performing at two major comedy festivals in Brooklyn: Cinder Block Comedy Festival and the 10th Annual Eugene Mirman Comedy Festival.

Firestone is also recording a comedy album at Union Hall on September 10 over two performances. The early taping already sold out, but you can still grab tickets for the late show. To sweeten the deal, old friend and Arcade Fire member WIll Butler will be a special guest at both tapings. The pairing isn’t as random as it might seem at first glance.  Firestone has opened for Butler before, and she's the emcee on Butler’s live album, Friday Night. and directed the music video for its title track. What exactly he'll be doing at these Union Hall tapoings remains to be seen, but if their on-stage chemistry is anything like it was on Friday Night, it should be an absurdly funny, high-energy show.

That taping happens a couple days before Arcade Fire play NYC's Madison Square Garden.
