Joe Pera Talks With You was one of 2018's TV sleeper hits, and not just because Joe's gentle way of speaking is perfect for insomniacs. His understated, gentle, Midwestern sense of humor was perfect for this show about a fictionalized small town teacher version of Joe Pera who took joy in the little things like breakfast, the weather and hearing The Who's "Baba O'Riley" for the first time. The show is back for its second season, premiering Friday, December 6 at Midnight, and subjects this time include beans, hiking, and an episode called "Joe Pera Guides You Through the Dark." You can watch a trailer for Season 2, plus a clip from the hiking episode about the many Sugarloaf Mountains around the world, below. Also, if you haven't seen the "Baba O'Riley" episode ("Joe Pera Reads You the Church Announcements"), it was one of 2018's single best episodes of TV and you can watch that below and stream the whole first season at Adult Swim.

You can watch the Season 2 premiere tonight via Adult Swim's online stream tonight at 9 PM Eastern, and Joe will screen the entire second season (episodes are only 12 minutes long) tonight at Alamo Drafthouse, which is sold out. Joe also stopped by The Late Show With Stephen Colbert last night to plug the show and talk about grocery shopping. If you are unfamiliar with Joe and his unique sense of humor, it's not a bad place to start.
