John Doe, co-founder of legendary LA punk band X, recently released his solo album The Westerner and Under the Big Black Sun: A Personal History of L.A. Punk, his literary debut. He had some dates coming up, and since we last spoke, he added a lot more.

In addition to the free performance/book reading at Rough Trade NYC on May 17, he'll return to NYC for another show a City Winery on June 15. That's with opener Jesse Dayton. Tickets for that one are on sale.
