John Prine announces 2019 tour dates

John Prine released The Tree of Forgiveness this year, which was his first album of original material in over a decade and has made the year-end lists of NPR, Uncut, Rough Trade and more. If you haven’t listened you can stream the LP below. He also recently appeared on CBS Sunday Morning to talk about his new album and career, and you can watch that below as well.

Having spent most of 2018 on tour, including a big NYC show at Radio City Music Hall with Sturgill Simpson, John will not be slowing down next year, and has just announced more tour dates that have him out through December 2019, including more North American shows this spring and summer. There are two new NYC-area dates: Port Chester’s Capitol Theatre on April 12 and Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre on April 13. Tickets for Kings and The Cap and Kings go on sale Friday, December 14 at 10 AM and noon, respectively, with presales starting December 12.

John will also be hosting his own music festival in the Dominican Republic in November 2019 with Jason Isbell, Amanda Shires, Iris Dement, and more. All dates are listed below.
