Josh Ritter, Jeffrey Lewis, Michael Shannon & more playing David Berman tribute in Brooklyn

Josh Ritter, Michael Shannon, Jeffrey Lewis, Cassandra Jenkins, and more will take part in a David Berman tribute that’s happening at Brooklyn’s Threes Brewing on October 9. It’s part of the monthly “Three Ring Bender” series, run by the creative rhythm section of Ray Rizzo and Annie Nero, and it will feature performances and readings of songs, poetry, and other works by the late Silver Jews and Purple Mountains frontman who died in August. Also on board: Woods’ Kyle Forester (who played on the Purple Mountains album), The Johns, Pete Galub, Daniel Posner, Domenic Maltempi, Paul Megna, and more to be announced.
