Jouska sign to Tiny Engines, opening for Broncho in NY this weekend

Albany’s Jouska make emo-ish indie rock that’s a little atmospheric, a little lo-fi, and clearly aiming to be something ambitious and unique. Their debut album topiary arrives in a year where both The Glow Pt. 2 and Low Level Owl turn 15, and Jouska sound like a group of guys who consider both to be classics. The album came out digitally a couple months ago, but they just signed to the trusty Tiny Engines, who will give it a physical release on December 9. Stream the whole thing below.

The Upstate NY band have a show near their hometown this Friday (11/11) at BSP Kingston, opening for Broncho (the day before Broncho play Baby’s in NYC). Tickets for that show are on sale now. No other known Jouska dates at the moment.
