Joyce Manor & Saves the Day playing NYC together (BrooklynVegan presale)

Two great melodic punk/emo bands from different generations, Joyce Manor and Saves the Day, are teaming up for a co-headlining show at NYC’s soon-to-reopen Webster Hall on August 16. Tickets go on sale Thursday (3/14) at noon but first you can get tickets in the BrooklynVegan presale starting Wednesday (3/13) at 10 AM. Check back here Wednesday morning for the password.

This is the only date that these two bands have announced together, but Saves the Day’s Chris Conley seemingly teased a full tour for the two bands coming soon. Meanwhile, both also have other upcoming shows and you can find the full schedules for both bands below.

Joyce Manor’s latest album was 2018’s very solid Million Dollars To Kill Me, and Saves the Day released 9 last year. It’s a very well matched pairing — Saves the Day paved the way for bands like Joyce Manor and Joyce Manor help keep the sounds of those classic Saves the Day records alive today — and if you happen to be a fan of one but haven’t ever dug into the other, now would be a good time to change that. It’s also worth mentioning that when Joyce Manor and Saves the Day made their cleaner, softer albums (JM’s Cody and STD’s Stay What You Are and In Reverie), they used the same producer: Rob Schnapf.
