JPEGMAFIA shares "Jesus Forgive Me, I Am A Thot," announces tour
Avant-rapper/producer JPEGMAFIA is back with a new single called “Jesus Forgive Me, I Am A Thot.” JPEG raps and sings over psychedelic production that sounds like it’d feel right at home on the Brainfeeder or Stones Throw rosters, and his bars are as dizzying as the warped beats. It’s a great single, and it also comes with an Andrew Mcglennon-directed video that stars JPEG on top of a mountain. “I hiked five fucking hours for this shoot. Five. Fucking. Hours. If anybody doesn’t like it, then fuck you. I hiked five hours. I don’t care,” JPEG told Billboard. “It’s beautiful, it’s elegant, and it doesn’t have to force you into keeping your attention. I just wanted something that was able to be suspenseful without forcing it,” he continued, before adding, “This video is just me existing. I wanted you to be moved by what’s going on.”
JPEGMAFIA also announced a headlining fall tour, kicking off in Arizona on 10/14 and ending with two nights in his hometown of Baltimore in November. Right before those Baltimore shows, he hits Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg on November 8. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (8/16) at 10 AM with presales beforehand.
