After Wolf Parade and before Brian Wilson, Brooklyn's McCarren Park hosted a Northside Festival show with Kacey Musgraves, Conor Oberst and The Felice Brothers. The Felice Brothers kicked things off, and then immediately took the stage again as Conor's backing band. Conor did a Felice Brothers song ("Rockefeller Druglaw Blues") during his set, a handful of Bright yes songs ("Four Winds," "Train Under Water," "At the Bottom of Everything," "First Day of My Life"), and he brought Kacey out to do her song "Back on the Map."
Kacey returned the favor by bringing Conor out during her set to sing with her on a cover of Hank Williams' "Hey Good Lookin'." She also covered TLC's "No Scrubs," Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots Are Made For Walkin'," and shouted out "where my gays at?!" before playing her equality-positive song "Follow Your Arrow." Her set was also very briefly hampered by rain.
