Kamaiyah reveals 'Don't Ever Get It Twisted' art, pushes back release date

Oakland rapper Kamaiyah‘s debut mixtape, A Good Night In the Ghetto, was one of the best albums of 2016, and this year she’s following it with another mixtape, Don’t Ever Get It Twisted. It was supposed to come out this week (4/21), but the release was pushed back due to her recent deal with Interscope Records. Kamaiyah did, however, reveal the artwork, and it’s pretty awesome. That’s it above. The art was inspired by a 1967 photo of the Black Panther Party’s Huey P. Newton, taken by Panther member Eldridge Cleaver.

Kamaiyah is also one of the guests on Lil Yachty’s upcoming debut album, Teenage Emotions, which drops May 26 and also features Diplo, Migos, YG, and more.
