Kanye West joins Chicago protests after donating $2M to families of Floyd, Taylor & Arbery
Kanye West may do and say some pretty eye-rolling things these days, but it's hard to roll your eyes at the altruistic actions he's taken in the past 24 hours. As confirmed to ET by one of Kanye's reps, Ye donated a total of $2 million to support the families of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor and the legal defense for Arbery and Taylor. He also created a 529 college savings plan for Floyd's 6-year-old daughter Gianna that will cover her full tuition. Ye also reportedly made donations to "several black-owned businesses in crisis in his home state and nationwide."
Hours later, Ye could be spotted on the streets of his hometown of Chicago, protesting alongside the thousands of other citizens making their voices against police brutality be heard. Here are some photos and videos:
Alright, now get rid of the MAGA hat, Kanye.
