Kanye West has spent the majority of 2017 in privacy and out of the public eye, as he was reportedly recording new music at the top of a mountain in Wyoming. Recently, both Kanye and Kid Cudi (who squashed their beef) were spotted around various locations in Japan, where they took photos with fans. Now, according to a report from PageSix, it seems Kanye and Cudi are working on a "secret project" together.

While the report's headline doesn't explicitly name Kid Cudi, they used the term "ex-protege," which people seem to think is in fact him:

According to a source, the new project is so secret, "they're going to drop some crazy collaboration out of the blue," an insider told us. "They’re going to drop some surprise project on everybody. They’re recording it now."

Not much else is known about the collaborative project, but more details may be uncovered in the future, so stay tuned. View pictures of the two together on vacation in Japan below, which included a meeting with Graduation cover designer Takashi Murakami.

Meanwhile, Kid Cudi recently announced his "Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin' Tour," in support of his 2016 album of the same name. He'll be making a stop at NYC’s Central Park SummerStage on October 6. Tickets are on sale now. All dates are listed on the tour poster below.

Kid Cudi will also be appearing at Tyler, The Creator's Camp Flog Gnaw festival this October, where a special guest is yet to be announced.
