Kevin Morby shares new single and video, "Nothing Sacred / All Things Wild"

Kevin Morby has shared new song and video “Nothing Sacred / All Things Wild” from his anticipated new album Oh My God. “‘Nothing Sacred’ was the moment that Sam and I stumbled into what would become the sonic landscape of Oh My God by breaking the songs down to their parts and doing away with a conventional band,” says Kevin. “Rather than I play the song on guitar as originally intended, Sam suggested I only sing while he play organ and Nick [Kinsey], who is the drummer of my live band, play congas. Within moments of the first take it became clear what the record was to become, and how we wanted to represent the songs. What you’re hearing here is a first take and the sound of us walking into a new discovery.” The surreal video, made with director Christopher Goode and glimpsed at in the album’s trailer, features a greenhouse, football players and more while Kevin Walks through it barefoot in a haze. Oh My God is out April 26 and Kevin and the new sax-fueled lineup of his band will be on tour this spring. Sam Cohen, who is in Kevin’s band, will also open all shows of tour, including the NYC show at Town Hall on May 31 (tickets). Kevin will also premiere the Oh My God short film in Los Angeles at Hollywood Forever Cemetery on April 3 and Kevin will play a solo set, too (sold out). All dates are listed below.
