King Crimson touring, releasing 'Heroes' EP
Progressive rock legends King Crimson are touring this year, including the Montreal International Jazz Festival and the Rochester International Jazz Festival, plus stops in LA, Chicago, and more. For this tour, main member Robert Fripp is joined by Jakko Jakszyk, Mel Collins, Tony Levin, Pat Mastelotto, Gavin Harrison, Jeremy Stacey, and Bill Rieflin. Fripp said the band may be performing every song from the Red album on this tour.
They’ve got two shows in Red Bank, NJ on July 9 at 10 at Count Basie Theatre. Tickets for 7/9 and 7/10, as well as King Crimson’s VIP “Royal Package” for 7/9 and 7/10, are on sale now. All dates are listed below.
On June 2, King Crimson are releasing the Heroes EP. The title track is a live recording of King Crimson playing their version of David Bowie‘s “Heroes” (which Fripp recorded lead guitar for) in Berlin in 2016. Watch them play the song in London in 2000:
