Kirin J Callinan at BV-CMJ 2012 (more by Nate "Igor" Smith)
Kirin J Callinan

Loop-happy gothic guitarist and solo artist Kirin J Callinan is readying his new LP, EMBRACISM, for release via Siberia / Terrible Records in partnership with XL Recordings. The album, produced by Kim Moyes of The Presets and mixed by Chris Taylor (CANT/Grizzly Bear), is due on July 2. Dig on the title track, which is streamable below.

Callinan will suit up, and by that I mean drag out his half-moon of crazy effects pedals, for a string of US dates this spring with Ariel Pink that will include a stop at Irving Plaza on June 6 (tickets), but before that you look for the Australian-born artist to play 285 Kent on May 15, with Pure X (tickets).
