Kurt Vile Sadies

Kurt Vile teams with The Sadies for new version of "Baby's Arms" (listen)

Kurt Vile and The Sadies have had a collaborative relationship for a while now. Kurt sang lead on “It’s Easy (Like Walking)” off their 2017 album Northern Passages, and the two went on a tour together earlier this year, where Kurt came out with The Sadies during their set, and they returned the favor during his. Now, Kurt has released a new version of “Baby’s Arms” from his 2011 album Smoke Ring For My Halo, which he recorded in the Catskill Mountains with The Sadies backing him. It’s rawer than the album version, and sounds like the kind of thing that was recorded in one shot while the guys were just hanging out, which is also what the video would have you think. It’s cool stuff and you can watch/listen below.

The video is excerpt of the upcoming Kurt Vile documentary (bottle back), which comes out this Thursday (10/3) via Matador.
