Los Angeles quartet French Vanilla make skronky feminist art punk that delivers its message emphatically on the dancefloor. The band's four-track 2015 demo is very much in the same vein as Kleenex, Le Tigre, Gang of Four, and X-Ray Spex (or more recent bands like Downtown Boys and Priests). You can stream that below.

French Vanilla will be visiting the East Coast in July for a short tour with three NYC shows: Cake Shop on 7/3 (lineup TBA) and Shea Stadium on 7/9 with The Othermen, The Mad Doctors, The Harlequins, and Last FM, and then Alphaville on July 15 with Heathers, Scully, Decorum, and Weeping Icon. Tickets to the NYC shows are on sale now.
