La Dispute have been working on their anticipated fourth album, and while we're still waiting on more concrete info on that, they did just announce a 10th anniversary edition of their debut album, Somewhere at the Bottom of the River Between Vega and Altair. The album was originally self-produced, but the new version features re-amped guitars by Will Yip (who also produced 2014's Rooms of the House and is producing the upcoming La Dispute album), a new mix by Dave Schiffman (who's worked with PUP, Thrice, Alanis Morissette, and more), and remastering by Emily Lazar. The first taste of this new version is "The Castle Builders," and you can really hear a difference compared to the original sound of Somewhere at the Bottom. The mix sounds more spacious, and the guitars sound cleaner and warmer, much closer to the vibe of Rooms of the House than to the crunchy sound of Somewhere at the Bottom. La Dispute knocked it out of the park on their debut, but they've also come a long way since then, and this re-work of "The Castle Builders" makes the song fit in better with their more recent material. Assuming the rest of the album follows suit, the 10th anniversary edition of Somewhere at the Bottom is looking like it'll be more than your average remixed/remastered reissue. Listen to the song below.

The album comes out November 9 via No Sleep, the same label that released the original album (pre-order). That's the new artwork (designed by Corey Purvis) above.

Yesterday, La Dispute announced a tour with Circa Survive and Queen of Jeans, beginning with a NYC show on October 29 at Playstation Theater. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (8/10) at 10 AM with an AmEx presale starting Wednesday (8/8).
