Lady Gaga will sing with Metallica at the Grammys

Lady Gaga, who just played the Super Bowl and announced a world tour, will perform on national television yet again this weekend. She’s set to play the Grammys, and she’ll be joining Metallica during their set.

Perhaps this is related to Metallica recently postponing dates due to James Hetfield being instructed by a doctor to “not sing one single note” while his throat condition improves (though the performance is reportedly a duet). If it seems like a weird pairing to you, did you not notice how metal Gaga made “Bad Romance” at the Super Bowl??

Previously: Lady Gaga’s favorite metal song is “Black Sabbath” by Black Sabbath, and she would rather be the next Iron Maiden than the next Madonna. Rob Halford met her and said she’s “a total metalhead.”

It was also revealed that 2015 Super Bowl performer Katy Perry is playing the Grammys, and possibly debuting a new song during her performance.

Previously announced performers include A Tribe Called Quest with Anderson Paak, The Weeknd with Daft Punk, Adele, Chance the Rapper, and Sturgill Simpson. Beyonce is reportedly showing up too.

Last year, Lady Gaga did a David Bowie tribute at the Grammys.
