Lana Del Rey played her first of two Terminal 5 shows (videos, setlist)

Lana Del Rey played her first of two sold-out Terminal 5 shows last night (10/23), her first NYC shows since Governors Ball 2015 and her first headlining club shows in NYC since Irving Plaza in 2012. She was supporting the release of her great fourth album Lust for Life, and she opened with the live debut of “13 Beaches” from that album. She went on to play a set heavy on Lust for Life and her debut album Born to Die, including “Diet Mountain Dew” for the first time in six years, and also the live debut of Lust for Life closer “Get Free,” which she played a cappella (and which was not on the written setlist). She only played a few Ultraviolence and Honeymoon songs, including “Music to Watch Boys To,” which came with a large neon backdrop with the song’s title. Lana’s stage show was tropical-themed, with tall palm trees on either side of her, and she had a live band and dancers. You can check out a bunch of videos and a pic of the setlist below.

Lana does it again at Terminal 5 tonight (10/24), and her proper 2018 tour includes a NYC-area show at the much larger Prudential Center on January 19 (tickets). That tour is with Kali Uchis and Jhene Aiko (who first has her own tour, including Irving Plaza on 11/20).
