Lee Fields It Rains Love

Lee Fields announces new album 'It Rains Love,' shares song, touring (NYC with !!!)

Storied soul singer Lee Fields celebrates the 50th anniversary of his debut single this year, and he’s also releasing a new album with his band The Expressions, It Rains Love, which follows 2017’s very good Special Night. Lee once again worked with longtime collaborator Leon Michels, and going by the just-released title track, Lee’s vintage-yet-modern soul is just as instantly likeable as ever on this album. Lee tells Rolling Stone that the the goal of It Rains Love was to inject “the theme of love into everything.” “I wanted to assure people that regardless of how humdrum things are today, love keeps everything fresh,” he says. The new song comes with Lee’s first ever self-directed video, which you can check out below. The album drops April 5 via Big Crown (pre-order).

Lee Fields was recently announced for some big 2019 festivals like Firefly and Electric Forest, and he’ll also be touring around those fests, including a NYC show with dance-punk greats !!! (Chk Chk Chk) on May 11 at Brooklyn Steel. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (1/11) at 10 AM with an AmEx presale starting Wednesday (1/9) at noon. He also plays Chicago, LA, and some Europe/UK shows. All dates are listed below.
