Leon Vynehall shares "Ducee's Drawbar" off DJ-Kicks mix, announces tour

Having released the very good Nothing Is Still last year, electronic musician Leon Vynehall is releasing a DJ-Kicks mix on February 1 via !K7. It features some of his own new music, as well as exclusive tracks by Ploy, Peach, and Pavilion. One of his new tracks, “Ducee’s Drawbar,” is out now, and it sees him returning to pure dance music following the jazz, ambient, and modern classical-inspired Nothing Is Still. Here’s what Leon says about it:

Around the time I’d written this, I was in the midst of the Nothing Is Still album campaign and doing the remaining live shows of 2018. I hadn’t been at the studio for months, rather I was in rehearsal rooms, concert halls, and DJing, so what ended up coming out was an expression of the whirlwind year I’d gone through. It’s an auditory hindsight of sorts, all wrapped up in this ‘anti-club’ club song. Kind of like a rushy pill that you just have to go along for the ride with. Its enjoyable, but disconcerting.

Leon Vynehall has also announced a DJ-Kicks tour with February/March dates in Europe and May dates in North America. The tour ends at outdoor Brooklyn bar Nowadays on May 24. Tickets for the whole tour are available at Resident Advisor. All dates are listed below.
