Lil Peep has died at 21

Rising emo-rapper Lil Peep (real name Gustav Åhr) has passed away at just 21 years old. No official cause of death has been given but The Guardian reports a suspected overdose. They also point to a video he posted hours before his death, where he says, “El Paso, I took six Xanax and I was lit. I’m good, I’m not sick. I’ma see y’all tonight.”

Several artists have paid tribute to Peep, including iLoveMakonnen, Lil B, Diplo, Riff Raff, Ty Dolla $ign, Rich Chigga, Post Malone, Charli XCX, El-P, Pete Wentz and more. Makonnen wrote, “I’m never gonna be ok. I’ll always love u, we became best friends and made some of the best music I have ever been apart of. I’m gonna miss u forever “Little”. Always in my heart and soul. Thank u for being my real friend.” Lil B wrote, “I remember Lil peep telling me he is against the sexual abuse of women and people in the music industry… I will continue to push his vision thank you – Lil B.” Diplo wrote, “peep had so much more to do man he was constantly inspiring me.
