NME “The pop star has labelled the mag ‘sexist’ for ditching a special cover shoot, bringing together Allen, the Yeah Yeah Yeah‘s Karen O and Beth Ditto of the Gossip. Allen had previously fallen out with the magazine’s editors after they published a story about her cocaine use, which Allen had referenced in interview as a joke, but decided to partake in the photo shoot on the understanding that it would show female empowerment in music. Instead the mag chose a cover shot of Muse.” [Sound Generator]
