Cut Copy have handed over their single "Cold Water" to Norwegians Lindstrøm and Prins Thomas to remix. The glistening original, with it's gently arpeggiated synth lines, was already in the right territory for Lindstrøm and Thomas, but they replace its motorik groove with more of a four-on-the-floor beat and an ecstatic feel.

"We’ve been long-time fans of Norwegian space disco legends Lindstrøm and Prins Thomas and are thrilled they were able to come together to produce this remix of 'Cold Water,'" says Cut Copy's Ben Browning. "Their uptempo cosmic reimagining of the song perfectly combines their signature sound with that of our original." This remix might better the original. Listen to both versions below.

Cut Copy's new album, Freeze, Melt, is out August 21 and generally find the Australia indie-dance act in a more chilled out mood.
