Lips readies new EP (stream a track), playing release show

Originally from New Zealand, Stephanie Brown now lives in Brooklyn where she makes music under the name Lips. She had an EP a couple years ago I liked a lot and is about to follow it up with another EP, Ghosts & Demons, next week (12/11). Her electro-soul style and smoky voice are still in fine form but the new EP is definitely more assured, production-wise. We’ve got the premiere of the very catchy “Freddy Bardot” from the EP and you can stream it below.

Lips is playing a record release party on Saturday, December 14 at Glasslands with Fielded and Germans also on the bill. Tickets are on sale. Track stream, EP tracklist and the video for her 2010 song “One Not Two,” are below…
