listen to Art Brut's "She Kissed Me (And it Felt Like Hit)" from new LP
Art Brut‘s new album, Wham! Bang! Pow! Let’s Rock Out!, is out this Friday (11/23) and is Eddie Argos & co’s first full-length in seven years. From the title down, this one feels very much in the same joie de vivre as their debut, Bang Bang Rock n’ Roll, as you can tell on “She Kissed Me (And It Felt Like a Hit).” The song title plays of The Crystals’ controversial 1962 single, but here Eddie equates a kiss with the perfect pop single. “I love a big glorious love song,” Argos tells us. “This is one and it’s about love at first kiss, it’s about immediately knowing the person you are with is even better than appearing on Top Of The Pops and what could be more glorious than that?” Listen to that, and a few other songs off the LP, below.
