With the coronavirus pandemic keeping many of us home a lot more, we've been asking artists to make us playlists of the music they've been listening to in isolation, and this one comes from Becca Mancari, who recently signed to Captured Tracks for her sophomore album and released the Zac Farro of Paramore-produced single "Hunter."

Becca's playlist includes "Hunter," plus recently released songs by Sharon Van Etten, Fiona Apple, Dua Lipa, J Balvin, Perfume Genius, Laura Marling, Lido Pimienta, Hayley Williams, Brittany Howard, and more, as well as classics by John Prine, The Velvet Underground, Mazzy Star, The Zombies, John Lennon, Leonard Cohen, Nick Drake, Broadcast, Nina Simone, and more. She says:

There has never been a moment in our collective history, where we have been able to really learn how to stay still like we are now. I don’t know about you, but I have never known how to stay still... I crave movement. I crave the open unknown highways, and the small back roads of rural America, and beyond... and with the spring sunshine begging me to chase her, it’s hard not to just get in my van and drive forever. That being said, during this difficult time, I know for me at first I could only listen to comforting songs from my past, but just recently I’ve been listening to some new music, and I have to say I’m thankful for it!

I’m living for this feel-good record from Dua Lipa and for the steady greatness of the new Laura Marling record, and of course the sheer genius of the new Fiona Apple record. So, I wanted to make a playlist with my comfort songs and new songs that are bringing me life and joy during these uncertain times. It’s pretty all over the place, but I hope it brightens your day. It made me feel good listening to each of these songs, and I hope it does the same for you. Much love to you all, stay home and stay true!
