listen to Eight Bells' doomy, eight-minute "Hold My Breath"

You’ve already heard “Hating” off Eight Bells‘ new album Landless, and now we’ve got the premiere of another track. It’s called “Hold My Breath,” and it continues to open up new dimensions for the progressive doom band as they follow up their excellent debut LP The Captain’s Daughter. The eight-minute track winds around an off-kilter guitar figure, moving between various peaks and valleys, augmenting that foundation with instrumentation that constantly keeps the listener off-balance as the song makes its way to a surprisingly emotional climax. You can stream the track below.

Landless, which is produced by the venerable Billy Anderson, is out February 12 via Battleground records, and is available for pre-order now. Eight Bells are heading out on that stacked tour with Voivod and Vektor in February, and they have some headlining dates coming up before that monster kicks off.
