listen to Mark Kozelek's "My Brother Loves Seagulls" from new LP w/ Ben Boye & Jim White
Mark Kozelek‘s second album with keyboardist Ben Boye and drummer Jim White is out February 7 at Caldo Verde, and here’s another track from it. While there is a certain stream-of-consciousness, diary-entry quality most of Mark’s recent work, “My Brother Loves Seagulls” is a much more songlike and lyrical, even if it doesn’t follow pop structures. Mark tells a tale of a health scare his brother faced against gorgeous, cascading acoustic guitars. It’s a very touching track which premieres in this post and you can listen below.
