Minneapolis's Real Numbers are gearing up to release Wordless Wonder, their first album for Slumberland, on October 14. Their seemingly shambly indiepop sound is a style a lot of bands attempt but few can actually pull off. Real Numbers can and do with a combination of super-catchy songs, musicianship and just-right mid-fi production. (They remind me, in that way, of another Slumberland band: The Aislers Set.) You can hear it on "New Boy" which premieres in this post:

Pre-orders of Wordless Wonder are available now. The band played NYC a few weeks ago -- anyone go?
