Volume 1 of the Stranger Things score by S U R V I V E's Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein is out today, featuring 36 tracks and over an hour's worth of eerie, ominous, synthy mood-setters. If you're a fan of Tangerine Dream, John Carpenter and Vangelis, you will dig this. (Obviously if you've watched the Netflix series and dug the music, you're going to be into this.) You can listen to the whole thing now at Apple Music and stream to cuts from it below. Volume 2 is out August 19.

Meanwhile if you're looking for more of a soundtrack, featuring the period-specific songs used in the show -- everything from Toto and Foreigner to Joy Division and Echo & the Bunnymen -- someone created a Spotify playlist of all those songs and you can check that out below.

As mentioned, S U R V I V E's new album, RR7349, is out in September and will appeal to fans of the score as well.
