The Devendorf brothers from The National formed the side project LNZNDRF with horn player Ben Lanz (who's played with The National, Beirut and more) and released their self-titled debut album in February on 4AD. To celebrate, they played two sold-out NYC shows at Mercury Lounge on Saturday night (3/5). We've got pictures from the early show in this post, including shots of opener Heaven.

BrooklynVegan also co-presented a before/during/after party for the Merc shows at Elvis Guesthouse with a few guest DJs (myself included). Then the band also played a free show at The Greene Space last night (3/7). Did you catch one or more of the shows?
