Jeff Burke stays busy. In addition to co-fronting The Marked Men and fronting Radioactivity, he's one half of Lost Balloons with Yusuke Okada of Japan's Suspicious Beasts. Lost Balloons is a lot lighter and breezier than Marked Men/Radioactivity, but it shares a sense of classic pop songwriting. Their label Dirtnap Records calls the new album Hey Summer a blend of '60s sunshine pop and jangly '80s college rock, which is a pretty spot-on description. We're premiering the stop-motion video (made by Paige Garren Young) for the album's surfy "Noose." You can watch that and stream the whole album below.

Lost Balloons will begin a tour next week, including a few shows with Radiator Hospital and a few with Sheer Mag.

The run with Radiator Hospital hits NYC on August 29 at Saint Vitus, which also has Midnight Calls on the bill (tickets). All dates are listed below.

Right after the tour ends, Radioactivity will play a one-off in NYC on September 6 at Union Pool with Big Huge and Lion's Cage opening (tickets).

Meanwhile, Radiator Hospital just tweeted this week that he was listening to the test press of his new LP, which hopefully means the followup to 2014's great Torch Song is coming soon. Stay tuned.

UPDATE: Well, that was fast. Just hours after this post, Radiator Hospital announced their new album.
