Lou Barlow plays new Dinosaur Jr. song, says their album is done

Back in December, Lou Barlow revealed that Dinosaur Jr. were about to head into the studio to record a new record, and now that album is done. Lou has been doing a series of regular livestreams throughout our time in coronavirus quarantine, and as Stereogum points out, on one he did one from his laundry room on Sunday (5/10), he shared the news, and debuted a new song. Here’s what Lou had to say:

We just finished mixing the Dinosaur Jr. record. Course we did it remotely. The gentleman named John Agnello who mixes all the Dinosaur records, mixed every one I’ve done in the last, what are we on, our fifth reunion record? He mixed it presumably by himself in a studio in North Carolina. I have two songs that I contributed, had three but I couldn’t finish the third one because of this. There’s been a lot of cancelled Dinosaur Jr. stuff, too, but we have a record so we have something to offer this year.

We don’t know the title of this new song yet, but you can watch it, along with the full livestream, below.

We also recently streamed the band’s 2017 Pickathon set on our Facebook, which is still available to watch. You can also watch a 1989 show Dinosaur Jr. played in Sydney, Australia, which we shared in one of our daily Amazing Live Video posts back in March.
