
Lupe Fiasco drops new album ‘Drogas Wave,’ touring this fall
Lupe Fiasco made something of a comeback with 2017's Drogas Light, which was his strongest album in years. He said that the album is part of a planned trilogy, and the second installment, Drogas Wave, is out today. (The third installment is reportedly titled Skulls.) The album features Damien Marley, Nikki Jean, and others, and production from Drake/Kendrick collaborator DJ Dahi, longtime Lupe collaborator Soundtrakk, Lupe himself, and others. On first listen, it sounds like it's got some stuff cut from a similar cloth as Drogas Light as well as some very different stuff too, and clearly some powerful lyrics. "Manilla" is emerging as an early highlight. You can stream the whole thing below.
Lupe also has tour dates coming up on the East Coast and Midwest this October, beginning in DC and then hitting NYC's Sony Hall on October 7 (tickets). All dates are listed below.
