Madonna playing Pride Island as part of WorldPride NYC 2019

Madonna will be appearing at WorldPride NYC 2019, as part of the Sunday, June 30 Pride Island festivities following the Pride March at Pier 97 Hudson River Park. She announced the news on The TODAY Show this morning, via a video where she said “I hear you. I will be on Pride Island, where I was born.” Madonna is expected to perform a few songs and the night also includes DJ sets from Abel and Morabito. Both nights of Pride Island (Saturday includes Grace Jones, Kim Petras and more) have been sold out for a while.

Meanwhile, Madonna also has a Madame X Pride collection for the entire month of June that includes limited-edition Pride Rainbow Vinyl, flags, as well as digital downloads, and all proceeds will be donated to The Trevor Project.

Madonna’s new album, Madame X, is out June 17, and her tour of intimate venues includes a 17-show run at NYC’s BAM Howard Gilman Opera House.
