Stephin Merritt has announced a four-show residency at NYC's Symphony Space this fall dubbed "From 69 to 50: A Stephin Merritt/Magnetic Fields Residency," with music spanning his whole career and most of his many groups. The Magnetic Fields will play November 16 & December 7 and will focus on 1999's 69 Love Songs and 2017's 50 Song Memoir with the premiere of new songs, too. There will also be shows by The Gothic Archies, his project with Lemony Snicket alter ego Daniel Handler, on December 12; and Future Bible Heroes (his collaboration with Claudia Gonson and Book of Love's Chris Ewen) play November 21. (Sorry, fans of The 6ths, no dice.) Tickets for these shows go on sale Wednesday, July 24 at noon.

Merritt discussed 69 Love Songs with Daniel Handler for The Talkhouse podcast earlier this year and you can listen to that below.
