Makthaverskan announce US tour with Self Defense Family and Creative Adult (two NYC dates included)

Swedish post-punks Makthaverskan put out their fantastic album II in 2013 and gave it a US release in 2014 via Run for Cover, and now they’re finally heading over to our shores for a tour here in March/April. It’s a killer triple-billed tour with two of their RFC labelmates, the prolific post-hardcore band Self Defense Family and the punky Creative Adult (who have a split with Wild Moth on the way). Those dates include two in NYC: March 4 at Saint Vitus and March 8 at the Studio at Webster Hall. Tickets for those shows are not on sale yet, but should be soon via Ticketfly and Ticketweb, respectively.

There’s a gap in the dates around SXSW, for which SDF were already announced, followed by a run with Solids (who play NYC twice in February) taking over for Creative Adult.

In addition to the tour, Self Defense Family are launching a new 7″ series, which begins with a split release between SDF and Creative Adult, due via Run for Cover/Deathwish, and continues on March 10 with a collaborative release with Touche Amore (“15 musicians working together as one band”), which Will Yip is producing.
