Makthaverskan delay tour again, cancel Sunday’s NYC show (but Self Defense Family & Creative Adult still playing)
Swedish post-punks Makthaverskan had to delay their US tour due to visa issues, forcing them to cancel last Wednesday's Brooklyn show, but they were supposed to get here in time for this Sunday's (3/8) NYC show at the Studio at Webster Hall. Unfortunately, they've had to drop off the Webster show too. They write:
Disappointing news came through this morning regarding the Makthaverskan 3/8 show at The Studio. The band has hit yet another snag in their continuing visa complications and will not be receiving their visas until Monday 3/9. As of today all shows from 3/9 on will continue as usual. Unfortunately these issues have cost them their New York, Boston and Philadelphia appearances which has been devastating for the band :'(
Once we sort everything out we're going to try really hard to get them to New York very soon!
Fingers crossed that Makthaverskan get here sooner than later. You can still see Self Defense Family and Creative Adult at this Sunday's show without Makthaverskan, and tickets for that are on sale.
Self Defense Family just put out a collaboration with Touche Amore, and Makthaverskan sister band Westkust released the first single from their upcoming debut.
