Manchester Orchestra share "The Sunshine" video

Manchester Orchestra returned last week with A Black Mile to the Surface, their best album in years, and they now released a video for “The Sunshine” off that album. It was directed by The Daniels (aka Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert), who Manchester Orchestra members Andy Hull and Robert McDowell also worked with on last year’s Daniel Radcliffe and Paul Dano-starring film Swiss Army Man. (They’ve also done other videos together, including the recent “The Alien” video.) The video stars Andy Hull in a fatherhood role (he became a father in real life a few years ago), first with him singing to the baby, and then with the baby lip-syncing the words. And then things get even weirder. Watch below.

Manchester Orchestra will begin a tour with Tigers Jaw and Foxing in September, including a NYC show on 9/29 at Terminal 5 (tickets).

The day before the new album came out, Manchester Orchestra’s 2007 debut album I’m Like a Virgin Losing a Child turned 10. In case you missed it, read our anniversary article on the classic album.
