As summer winds down, things will start to get noisy. As part of the continuing M.A.P.S. (Metropolitan Audio Pain Source) series, Bastard Noise & Anthony Saunders (who recently played Babycastles) will be playing along with a number of other noise artists on September 13 at Trans Pecos. Also teaming up will be Andrew Hock (Castevet/Psalm Zero), Chris Pitsiokos, and Weasel Walter and HCOD and Penchant. Filling out the lineup are Skinner, Arbiter, Field Grave and Negation. More info is available at the event's Facebook page. Stream samples of HCOD, Penchant, Arbiter and more below.
In December, M.A.P.S will be presenting its second annual festival with a whole slew of noise and a little bit of metal. Waving the metal flag high will be the bass-and-drums only death metal duo Geryon, which is comprised of Nicholas McMaster and Lev Weinstein of Krallice. On the noise side of things, you'll have the chance to catch a whole load of acts, including Gnawed, Endless Humiliation (they're pretty metal), Deterge, Interracial Sex, Concrete Mascara and Penchant. The show is on December 13 at Trans Pecos. More performers are TBA, head over to the fest's event page for more details.
