Gutiarist extraordinaire Marc Ribot, who has collaborated with Tom Waits, Elvis Costello and John Zorn among others, is back with a new Ceramic Dog LP, titled YRU Still Here?, which will be out April 27 via Northern Spy. Along with his bandmates Shahzad Ismaily (Secret Chiefs 3, Will Oldham) on bass and drummer Ches Smith (Xiu Xiu, Secret Chiefs 3, Trevor Dunn’s Trio Convulsant), Marc has crafted a genre-defying, angry, witty, and fun record. We've got the premiere of "Pennsylvania 6 6666" and, while the title may reference Glenn Miller's big band classic, it's tropical cocktail jazz that's actually about Shahzad’s experiences growing up "Muslim and Outrageous" in Danville Pennsylvania, where "all the children are insane." You can listen to that and a couple other songs off the album, below.

Ceramic Dog will be on tour in Europe starting this weekend, and have two U.S. release shows planned as well: NYC's Le Poisson Rouge on May 6 with Nik Bärtsch's Ronin (tickets), and New Haven, CT's Cafe 9 on May 10 (tickets).
