The Fall have canceled their upcoming February shows at Brooklyn’s Baby’s All Right, as frontman Mark E. Smith is still faced with serious health problems. The upcoming shows were rescheduled from September. The statement from The Fall’s manager, Pamela Vander:

Mark & the group are gutted but due to a full year of bad health and time flying by us, we wanna announce the news sooner rather than later. Mark is settled and resting up, and we don’t wanna screw that up. Sorry to all/fans/friends in NYC and thanks to venue/promoters etc for the opportunity for The Fall to hit NYC again. We will see you there at some point in the future, but for now, more rest & recovery.

Along with that statement was a message from Mark, “BACK SOONER THAN LATER PALS!!! M.E.S. Shock House Now, Woodpecker, Peon Son… titles that await!”

The Fall played a few shows in October with MES in a wheelchair but the band canceled their November 29 show in Bristol, UK just before the band was to have taken the stage. We are bummed the Baby’s shows aren’t happening but we need MES back on his feet and wish him a full recovery.

The fall recently released a box set of all their singles.
